Hard to believe that my girl is big enough to use the lovely and old high chair I snagged at Sweet Pickin's downtown last summer when I was still quite rotund with my bun in the oven! So, she fits in it just fine, but sadly the only thing the chair was missing was the strap...you know, so they don't fall out?! Well, I figured I could get around that and so I have! Last weekend and over this past week brought a homemade cushion (totally fudged with scrap fabric I already had & help from my willing mother), a light sanding (courtesy of my hubby) and a lovely and non-toxic polish with homemade beeswax-lavender furniture polish. Since we keep bees anyway, I already had the refined beeswax to use, but here is the recipe I found and used: http://www.lovelygreens.com/2013/04/how-to-make-natural-beeswax-furniture.html. I created a strap/tummy harness for her so that she won't slip out. I also couldn't resist just a bit of personalization with a little "S" in the corner for her! Looks nice and works great! On to the next project...
