As sickening as it is, please imagine for a moment that your 7 or 8 year old daughter has been stolen...worse than that, your little girl has been trafficked, sold and is being forced to see as many as 40 "clients" a day! It is truly one of the most horrific and evil trades and is present right here in our country too. However, this Christmas it is the young girls in the poor villages of Nepal that I am speaking of. 10,000-15,000 girls (ages 7-24) are trafficked across the border of India and sold to brothels and tortured if they run away. They truly are forced to be with up to 40 "clients" a day and their families will never hear from them or see them again. Save The Daughters is a non-profit project that sponsors a team that travels for weeks to these trafficked villlages and they educate, raise awareness and ultimately save girls from this evil, evil trade. Your donations help fund this Nepali team as they leave their own families for the sake of these girls' lives and share the Gospel to these poor mountain villages. I have a Save The Daughters Tree in the studio now and this holiday for anyone who would like to help. You can also visit www.savethedaughters.com for more info. So while you are getting toys for the tots or gifts for the angel tree, consider helping to give a girl her childhood this Christmas too.
